Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he is returning to north London after being asked directly about the available job at Arsenal.
The Argentine did not rule out a sensational move to Arsenal.
Pochettino has been muted as a candidate to take charge at the Emirates Stadium following the sacking of Unai Emery last week.
The former Spurs boss was tracked down in South America on Friday and directly asked about the possibility of moving to Arsenal or Bayern Munich.
The Champions League finalist showed a wry smile while offering his response, saying,
“It’s important to have a moment of calm to lower the decibels and find the energy to take on a new project, and we’ll see where that is,” according to TyC Sports.
Pochettino then went on to confirm that he will return to London next week, adding, “I’m going to spend a few days here [in Rosario] with my family and friends, and then I’ll return to London next week.”
